Big Wedding Weekend

The Big Wedding Weekend was a huge celebration of love with free events across the 2016 August bank holiday weekend to celebrate the happy couples getting married and mark the finale of Festival of Love.

Couples celebrated the anniversaries of dances from 2006, 1996, 1986 and so on at Dance Through the Decades, and made that special something for a loved one at our craft workshop and then bid goodbye to Festival of Love at our Closing Party.

The perfect wedding day. We both had an amazing time and loved every minute, from the pre-wedding nerves backstage to dancing in the Clore Ballroom. Our friends and family all had a great time and will treasure the memories of a happy day full of love.

We knew Southbank Centre would organise the best wedding we could have, and we haven’t been disappointed… Even more amazing than we thought it would be. It's very satisfying when every single one of your guests tells you that's the best wedding they've ever been to.

Everyone said what a spectacular day it was. We had so much fun. The ceremony was incredible, the food was lovely and the party was messy! Everything we could have hoped for!
