Power of Power homed in on the forces that control our world today. We discussed the economic ascent of India, the power brokers behind the banking system and the role of politics in the refugee crisis.
The festival was programmed around a production of Richard Wagner’s iconic opera cycle Der Ring des Nibelungen, which creates an epic world of gods, giants, dwarves and heroes caught between love, greed and hunger for power.
Through a series of talks and performances, Power of Power brought together fearless leaders and expert observers to explore timeless themes from Wagner’s work, including money, desire and dynasty, through a contemporary lens.
