Aches: Frame Shift, 2025

Aches is an Irish artist, based in Dublin, who specialises in graffiti, painting and large scale murals. With a background in visual communication, Aches combines graphic design and graffiti, adopting additive and subtractive colour theory to their work. 

They have developed a technique recognised globally, using multiple frames to create the sense of movement and distortion. 

After a decade of painting outdoors, Aches’ artistic practice is now shared in equal balance between contemporary murals and studio work. 

For this commission, as part of Dance Your Way Home, Aches has created new works focusing on the dancers from across London who use the Southbank Centre site as a place for dancing and rehearsal.
