Anab Jain

Anab Jain is a designer, filmmaker, futurist and educator. Born and raised in India’s postcolonial landscapes, she rejects fatalism for feral hope: a rigorous practice of attentive care in an era of planetary unravelling.

In 2009, with Jon Ardern, she established Superflux, an award-winning, London-based design studio and artistic practice. Rooted in speculative design, critical foresight and experiential futures, Superflux practices an archaeology of the future, building immersive worlds that hold ecological intelligence and more-than-human ways of knowing. Recent works include Nobody Told Me Rivers Dream, where artificial intelligence gives voice to the wisdom of a river, and The Craftocene, a solo show on civilisational transition at the Weltmuseum Vienna.

Along with Ardern, Anab received the Royal Designer for Industry Award (RDI) in speculative design. She is Professor of Design Investigations at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and co-author of Designing Questions (Hatje Cantz, 2026).
