Brian Molko

Brian Molko is the lead singer and guitarist for Placebo, one of the defining alternative rock bands of the past 30 years. Molko spoke for those who felt alienated by blokey Britpop, channelling glam-goth androgyny, grungey sonics and pop-savvieness for an alternative vision. Placebo were invited by David Bowie to tour with him in Europe in 1996 after having heard the band’s first demo and invited them to play at his 50th birthday party at Madison Square Garden in 1997. Bowie duetted on the Placebo single ‘Without You I’m Nothing’ and appeared live with the band at Irving Plaza in New York.
