Erlend Tait: Interconnection, 2015, 2017, 2023

Scottish artist Erlend Tait specialises in ancient techniques of the glass painter-stainer, or ‘painting with light’. Craftsmanship and traditional oil painting and stained glass inform his artistic practice. 

Captivated by the mythology and folklore of the Highlands and Islands where he grew up, Tait’s works incorporate portraits of imagined people, anthropomorphic deities, organic patterns and symbolism.
