Jakob Kvist: Dichroic Sphere, 2022

Dichroic Sphere is a light sculpture by Danish light artist and designer Jakob Kvist. It consists of an aluminium geodesic dome structure, covered with acrylic sheets and dichroic film, with a single energy-efficient light bulb at its centre, which casts multicoloured light in every direction. 

Depending on the angle of the light that hits it, either emitted from within or shining on it from outside, the sphere and the area around it changes colour.
