Jordan Hemingway
Jordan Hemingway is a film-maker, photographer and visual artist whose multidisciplinary practice spans contemporary art, fashion, music and live performance. Known for a highly distinctive approach to image-making and storytelling, Hemingway’s body of work moves between the cultural and commercial spheres, bringing together photography, moving image, live performance and fashion within a precise, singular visual language.
His work has been commissioned by world-leading fashion houses including Acne Studios, COMME des GARÇONS and Chanel, and editorially by Dazed, and cultural publications including W Magazine and Vogue. His first solo exhibition, Angels with Dirty Faces, was recently shown at Acne Gallery Palais Royal, following an exhibition at Sotheby’s in London.
Alongside his independent artistic practice, Hemingway has worked extensively within music and performance, collaborating with artists including FKA twigs, Post Malone and Travis Scott. Across these disciplines, his work is characterised by an interest in the body, performance, subculture and the construction of contemporary image.
