Maxine Peake

Multiple BAFTA nominee Maxine Peake is celebrated for her powerful lead roles in iconic television dramas including Silk, Shameless, Anne, and Netflix’s Black Mirror: Metalhead. On the big screen, Peake’s recent credits include starring as the late Russian journalist Anna Politkovskaya in Words of War and the multi-award-winning I Swear.

A talent on stage too, her theatre credits span landmark performances in Hamlet and A Streetcar Named Desire, with a 2026 WhatsOnStage Award nomination for The Last Stand of Mary Whitehouse at the Nottingham Playhouse. Her upcoming projects include co-starring roles in Apple TV+’s Berlin Noir and The Dispatcher, as well as a lead role in Michaela Coel’s highly anticipated BBC/HBO drama, First Day on Earth.
