Metronomes Steel Orchestra

Metronomes Steel Orchestra, based in the community of Ladbroke Grove, west London, have been contributing to the art form for 47 years. This innovative steel band and unique community hub teach and perform steel pan music, promote Caribbean heritage, and spearhead projects designed to benefit the local community. These initiatives focus on bringing families together and reducing social isolation, particularly among the elderly and single parents. Metronomes have performed at a wide variety of events, from festivals to prestigious award ceremonies such as the 2009 Calabash Awards.
