The Royal Festival Hall is closed on Thursday 3 September, re-opening at 5pm to ticket holders only for Letters Live at 7.30pm. The National Poetry Library remains open with entry via the Royal Festival Hall Artists’ Entrance.

Vicky Spratt

Vicky Spratt is an award-winning journalist, author and housing rights advocate, shortlisted for the Orwell Prize three years in a row (2023–25). Her first book, Tenants, was a Financial Times book of the year in 2022. Spratt’s second book, We Were Promised the Moon, published in 2027 with Fourth Estate, is an agenda-setting analysis of how the economic settlement of the last 30 years has fundamentally reshaped life for young adults today. Spratt is a correspondent and columnist at The i Paper, and features regularly on programmes such as Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, Newsnight and The Andrew Marr Show.
