Sound Within Sound

Returning in 2025

A journey through unconventional musical experiences, uncovering overlooked musicians and works from all over the world.

Inspired by the book Sound Within Sound by journalist and BBC Radio 3 broadcaster Kate Molleson, this event series spotlights the lives and works of composers from the 20th century whose work has been overlooked in the main classical canon.

With performances in our auditoriums and public spaces, as well as immersive sound installations, Sound Within Sound offers a way to experience the music of pioneering composers like never before.

Sound Within Sound is kindly supported by Cockayne – Grants for the Arts: a donor advised fund held at The London Community Foundation.
