Behind the now trademark black-rimmed glasses of the septuagenarian lurks the stage-presence of an unmistakable soundclash superstar.

For more than half a century ‘Ram Jam’ Rodigan has championed the sounds of Jamaica and the Caribbean, becoming recognised as the DJ of choice for some of the world’s leading reggae and dancehall artists.

Rodigan’s presence on and in front of the decks saw him win the World Clash in 2012 and his establishment as a leading connoisseur of reggae and classic cuts has led to his sound being showcased everywhere from BBC Radio 2 to video game Grand Theft Auto. We’ve been privileged enough to welcome Rodigan to our own stages before, and on 16 April 2022 he returned once again, joining up with the 25 piece Outlook Orchestra for a pioneering performance of reggae favourites.

Ahead of this return to the Southbank Centre, Rodigan kindly put together this special mixtape of reggae and dancehall tracks for us. So turn up the volume, and get ready to be taken from Barrington Levy to Bob Marley, and from Super Cat to Shy FX.
