Then futuretense is undoubtedly for you.

Initially launched in 2019, futuretense is our live gig series showcasing the best in new British and international music, helping you find your next musical obsession. And if that wasn’t enough to get you down to our Queen Elizabeth Hall Foyer, the fact that these regular gigs are free – yes free! – should definitely do the trick.

After a forced hiatus for the Covid-19 pandemic, futuretense has since returned to continue where it left off; platforming a host of artists on the way up, many of them hailing from right here in London.

And there’s no better way to get a flavour of what these artists, and this series, deliver than by giving them a listen. So plug in your headphones, and settle in for a couple of tracks from each of the futuretense artists who picked up our mics in 2024.

‘Bringing together artists who are pushing creative boundaries and eager audiences looking for the next new sound, futuretense will be home to some amazing future stars’

Adem Holness, former Southbank Centre Head of Contemporary Music
