With its explosive singles ‘Offence’ and ‘Boss’, the album cemented Simz’ reputation as one of the UK’s most captivating and visionary artists.

Her follow-up fourth album, Sometimes I Might Be Introvert, proved not only to be Little Simz most commercially successful album to date, but also saw her most critically acclaimed, earning her the Mercury Prize, as well as MOBO, Libera, BRIT and Ivor Novello Awards.

Ever-evolving as an artist, her fifth album, 2022’s NO THANK YOU, was a sleek and utterly propulsive work, accompanied by a visionary short-film directed by Gabriel Moses, whilst her 2024 performance on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage cemented her reputation as an inimitable live performer.

In June 2025 came two milestones for Simz, the release of her sixth studio album, the highly acclaimed Lotus, and the honour of curating the 30th edition of our long-running Meltdown festival, which she bookended with two distinct gigs, her first live DJ set, and her first concert with full orchestra accompaniment. Ahead of our Simz summer, we put together this two hour playlist of the musician doing what she does best.

‘I’m super excited to be the 2025 Meltdown festival curator! …Meltdown 2025 the Simz way is going to be epic. I’ll see you there.’
