Playlist: South Asian Sounds 2026

This was the third edition of this series here at the Southbank Centre, and once again featured an enthralling mix of notable names and emerging voices from artists of Indian, Nepali and Tamil backgrounds.

We know South Asian Sounds is a broad term, one which covers an incredibly diverse blend of musical cultures and traditions. And so to give you a better idea of what to expect from this particular instalment of this now annual celebration, we put together this playlist featuring a number of the artists who joined us in early July 2026.

There’s Indian superstars Raghu Dixit and Hariharan; versatile vocals from Amrita Kaur and Priyani Vani Panditt; the pianism of Rekesh Chauhan; the percussion of Talvin Singh; the jazz-infused joy of Anmol Mohara and Shalini Rani and the contemporary vibes of rising British-Asian stars Tara Lily, Pritt and Prito.
