A Poet in Every Port: Live

Sun 12 Jul 2026, 3.30pm

Join Roger McGough and the New Poets Collective for a celebration of the poetry of the UK with its varied accents, dialects and languages.

Run time 1 hour and 30 minutes (approx)
Free – no ticket required

Much-loved poet, Roger McGough is the ambassador for A Poet in Every Port, a project where we are visiting 11 coastal towns and cities in a specially designed mobile version of the National Poetry Library.

Across the tour, the New Poets Collective invites you to join them as they host sessions and performances in the mobile library in coastal communities across the UK. Back in London for Poetry International Festival, they invite you to come on down for an afternoon of poetry and music, alongside tutors Vanessa Kisuule and Will Harris.
