After Dark: 200 Years of ZSL
Embark on a merry musical expedition with the London Philharmonic Orchestra’s brass section for the milestone anniversary of the Zoological Society of London.
The London Philharmonic Orchestra’s brass section marks the Zoological Society of London’s (ZSL) 200th anniversary with an After Dark celebration.
Following the orchestra’s performance of Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals earlier in the evening, the After Dark programme opens with a stately fanfare by William Walton, written 50 years ago for ZSL’s 150th anniversary.
A selection from Goff Richards’ Homage to the Noble Grape leads to a lively sonic safari through Chris Hazell’s Cats Suite.
In collaboration with ZSL.
