European Poetry Festival: Catalan Poetry

Hear new work read live by contemporary Catalan poets and their British counterparts in the UK’s biggest celebration of continental poetry.

The European Poetry Festival returns to the National Poetry Library for its seventh year, celebrating performance, experimentation and collaboration.

This event shares contemporary Catalan poetry, one of the most dynamic poetry scenes in Europe, with three of that nation’s most exciting writers coming to the UK to perform their work, as well as brand new collaborations made with British poets created specially for this event.

This is a unique exploration of the performative, literary and cross-lingual potential of 21st century European poetry.
