European Poetry Festival: Latvia
Hear new work by contemporary European poets and their Britain-based counterparts in the UK’s biggest celebration of continental poetry, hosted by S.J. Fowler.
The European Poetry Festival returns to the National Poetry Library for its eighth year, celebrating experimentation and collaboration, and exploring the performative, literary and cross-lingual potential of 21st century European poetry.
Four of Latvia’s most exciting poets come to the UK to perform their work, as well as brand new collaborations made with British poets, created just for this evening.
The event features new poetry and performance collaborations by:
Krišjānis Zeļģis and Steven J. Fowler
Līva Marta Roze and Danica Ignacio
Linda Mence and Mary Paterson
Agnese Graudiņa and James Byrne
This event also sees the launch of ‘Zeļģis’ and Fowler’s collaborative publication ‘Levels of Care’ from Sampson Low Ltd.
Supported by Latvian Literature and curated by SJ Fowler.
