From the Lips to the Moon
A surreal feast of music, poetry and performance by Pouya Ehsaei and Tara Fatehi, with Cassie Kinoshi, MA.MOYO, Mahan Mirarab and Gayathiri Kamalakanthan.
Words that glitch, sounds that misbehave. From the Lips to the Moon is a multisensory show of unexpected encounters, transformations and play blending live and electronic music, poetry and spoken word and otherworldly visuals.
Created by Ehsaei – electronic musician, composer and sound designer – and Fatehi – actor, vocalist, writer and interdisciplinary performer – this sensational show has taken London by storm, playing to sold-out audiences across the city and abroad.
For this edition for Poetry International Festival, Ehsaei and Fatehi are joined by the outstanding jazz musicians, guitar maestro Mahan Mirarab and award-winning saxophonist Cassie Kinoshi.
Bringing the poetic power are author and sound artist MA.MOYO and multi-award winning poet Gayathiri Kamalakanthan, performing poetry and spoken word.
The performance also features live visuals by Ehsaei and Fatehi’s longtime collaborator 2 Digit Visuals.
