futuretense: Meltdown Special
Soulful melodies and R&B rhythms set the scene in this Meltdown edition of our free gig series, featuring BIM, JaJa Kisses and Tyler Max.
A London girl with a soaring mezzo-soprano voice and gospel roots, BIM shines in the multi-layered music she loves to create, about love, loss and all the spaces in between that exist for women like her.
JaJa Kisses is a British Nigerian independent singer, songwriter and producer serving psychedelic vocals over bass-infused soundscapes.
Blurring the lines between alt R&B, art pop and escape room genres, her music delves into the depths of taboo confessions, fantasies and realisations, offering a playfully dramatic glimpse into her journey of self-improvement, love, loss and the pursuit of her dreams.
Finally, as part of Chaka Khan’s Meltdown, Khan’s own nephew Tyler Max brings his debut project to the stage, with a soulful blend of jazz, funk and neo-soul.
Tyler Max is a multi-hyphenate singer, songwriter and producer hailing from Los Angeles, captivating audiences with his mesmerising vocals and infectious energy.
