futuretense: Nuha Ruby Ra + KEG
Thrilling, unsettling and powerful: experience the sound of musicians in control of their vision in this free gig highlighting stars of the future.
Nuha Ruby Ra has been touted as one of the most exciting and provocative new acts in the UK. With singles including ‘My Voice’ and ‘Self Portraiture’ drawing attention from critics and fans, she has toured with the likes of Yard Act, Warmduscher, Viagra Boys, King Gizzard and The Wizard Lizard and Bambara, and has appeared at festivals such as SXSW, Glastonbury, Latitude and Boardmasters.
Seven-piece band Keg toes a fine line between contemporary post-rock sensibilities, and harmony and meticulous songwriting. Armed with barbed guitars and wonky synth lines peppered with trombone, Keg creates a frantic chaotic energy that veers towards rock, but aims to confound genre. Formed in Brighton in 2019, the band has released two EPs – ‘Assembly’ (2021) and ‘Girders’ (2022) – with their debut album Fun’s Over due in early 2025.
