Powerful vocals, uplifting lyrics and a healing presence encapsulate the hypnotic magic of multi-award-winning artist Tashey Makeda’s music.
Makeda’s blend of reggae, soul and R&B, dubbed ‘Roots Soul’, creates a unique sound rooted in her Jamaican heritage and Rastafari upbringing.
Her songwriting weaves together stories of movement, empowerment and the African diaspora throughout the Caribbean. It’s a vibrant, contemporary expression of spirituality, spreading messages of healing, divinity and higher consciousness.
Her acclaimed EP, Omega Mother Goddess is an exploration of the ‘Roots and Soul’ of the Divine Feminine. While her forthcoming project, Throat Chakra, is a vulnerable exploration of finding strength through voice, healing and creative liberation during challenging times.
Makeda has graced stages across the world, performing at SXSW London in 2019 as part of the Island Wave x Reggae Recipe stage, and has toured with Grammy Award-winning producer Trevor Horn and collaborated with reggae legends Beres Hammond and Sean Paul.
NEONE The Wonderer’s electric fusion of musical genres is a deep foray into self-exploration. The rapper and producer takes his alt hip-hop/grime and fuses it with jazz and other worldly influences.
Expect captivating rhythmic storylines, addictive flows and experimental beats that challenge your perception of normality, traversing through dreams, nightmares, myth and reality.
