futuretense: Toby Corton + Kiiymm

Don’t miss two young musicians making a name for themselves with addictive music and big personalities, at this edition of our free, uplifting gig series.

Part of futuretense

Toby Corton is the 20 quid you dream of finding, rolled up, in the inside pocket of a favourite jacket, bought from a vintage shop. An East-end-born romantic with a heart for soul music, he’s been putting on a show since he was a child. Tom Robinson (BBC6 Music) referred to the singer-songwriter as a ‘charismatic, queer, cockney creative’.

Born and bred in East London and of Nigerian descent, Kiiymm is a rapper with an R&B soul. His music reflects a deep passion for his craft, intertwined with the real-life graft, pain and sacrifice he’s experienced.
