futuretense x Meltdown: deep tan + VIIZERO7
London-based post-punk trio deep tan, alongside the raw energy of solo artist VIIZERO7, power the evening with subversive punk spirit.
deep tan’s stripped-back, minimal sound emerges from the fatalistic side of life, with a flash of cynicism and a rumble of venomous intent that challenges and draws on contemporary themes.
The three-piece gained prominence in London’s thriving post-punk scene before touring with Queens of the Stone Age in 2023, and they’ve also joined Yard Act, BODEGA and Nation of Language on the road. deep tan have been busy winning over legions of fans with their unique brand of post-punk since the release of their 2021 debut EP Creeping Speedwells.
The band have garnered the attention of tastemaking press outlets including Clash, Loud and Quiet and NME, and featured on the BBC Radio 6 Music Introducing playlist.
VIIZERO7, formerly known as Deijuvhs, opened for Limp Bizkit in Gunnersbury Park in 2023. He isn’t interested in fitting into a single lane – he’s focused on shaping his own. Blending hip-hop, alternative R&B and alternative rock, his sound carries a raw, honest edge.
His work sits in the space between control and chaos, with guitar textures weaving into layered production while his vocals move from calm to more intense moments. Lyrically, VIIZERO7 explores identity, isolation, ambition and self-reflection, delivering each line in a way that’s personal and direct.
