Go All In: Gaming and the Power of Story

Sun 25 Oct 2026, 7.45pm

Dive into epic storytelling and the interlinked magic of books and games at a panel discussion with industry icons including Outside Xbox.

From epic quests to hidden lore, the best games are built on great stories.

Gaming and reading share the same core purpose: total immersion in the stories and worlds we care about. Reading lets players explore the worlds behind the gameplay to discover characters, histories and adventures deeper than the screen. It’s both a natural part of many gaming experiences and a way for players to go all in on their passion. Books and games aren’t competing forms of entertainment, but complementary ways of experiencing the same magic.

Join a panel of gaming industry experts – including the team behind the YouTube channel Outside Xbox – as they discuss how books help shape the expansive, narrative-rich worlds behind gaming’s greats.

Full line-up still to be announced.
