Inside Aurora Orchestra at Drumsheds
Step inside an exploded Aurora Orchestra as they perform music by Stravinsky and Ravel by heart, in two dazzling, immersive performances at Drumsheds.
Experience the orchestra like never before as they harness the potential of playing from memory inside the vast, industrial warehouse space of Drumsheds.
Move around the orchestra and get up close to the performers as they present two monumental ballet scores – Stravinsky’s glittering Firebird and Ravel’s hypnotic Bolero – and feel the power of a full symphony orchestra conjuring up dancing monsters, an evil sorcerer, seductive dancers and a sultry Spanish tavern.
If you haven’t been to a classical concert before, this is an incredible place to dive in head first. And if you’re a seasoned concert-goer, hearing these works from inside the orchestra itself is an experience you’re sure not to forget in a hurry.
Following the success of four sold-out shows at Printworks, Aurora’s latest immersive project is created in collaboration with Drumsheds and the Southbank Centre
