Iris Colomb: Try! Try! Try! Again! Happening

Step into the unexpected as artists and performers take over the space with a one-off improvised performance alongside poet and artist Iris Colomb.

Try! Try! Try! Again! is Iris Colomb’s daring debut solo exhibition, merging poetry with other art forms in unexpected ways. For this event, she is joined by a multidisciplinary set of brilliant performers including John Bisset, Chris Hill, Paul Ingram, Pete McPartlan, Virág Pázmány, Joy Salomon-Corlobé, Gardyloo Spew, Edward Shipsey and Daryl Worthington.

Poet and artist Iris Colomb is always searching for new ways of making, performing and experiencing poetry. From artist books to body art, each of her projects invites us to revel in new poetic possibilities. Her work creates a sense of unpredictability through indeterminate outcomes, disrupting the traditional boundaries between artist and audience.

This exhibition showcases a new commission responding to our summer season Dance Your Way Home, alongside a selection of works engaging with language visually and sonically through poetic objects and physical constraints as well as chance, improvisation and duration.
