IT’S GOT LEGS!!!!!!!

Wed 4 Nov 2026, 7.30pm

Embrace the ugliness and chaotic beauty of how we make and unmake our identities in a visceral, vulgar and vampy ‘cabaret’ from Samir Kennedy and Sean Murray.

Prepare yourself for vulgar, visceral and vampy renditions of the long lost ‘numbers’ that lurk in the depths of our minds – a seemingly never-ending revue of our pathetic existence, an infinite infernal cabaret of our own construction. The show must go on, no matter the cost.

Embark on this collaboration brought together by a shared fascination with the filthy and the glamorous, the pathetic and the perverse.

IT’S GOT LEGS!!!!!! speaks to the precarity of constructing performance and constructing the self, using tropes of DIY performance and the technical machinations of the theatre itself.

The work operates within a complex space of non-arrival – there is no destination; it’s the trials of the journey that we bear witness to. By teasing and edging towards the ungraspable, we can unearth the only really concrete thing there is in this business: instability.

The show embraces the inherent ugliness and the chaotic beauty of becoming and unbecoming, of the intricate dances of subjugation, subversion and seduction we are all forced to engage in as performers, artists and humans just getting on with it.

Duos and duality are central: swerve and saunter through a referential maze of double acts and double entendres, merging the Laurel with the Hardy, the Monroe with the Russell. Careen through the colliding worlds of jazz ghosts and postmodern, poe-faced poetry-in-motion.

IT’S GOT LEGS!!!!!! attempts to build a universe where the pursuit, the act of the attempt itself, is where we make and remake ‘the self’, where fluidity and difference emerge and where we become one.
