KUNSTY Opening Party
Join us for a free party to kick off our rad, queer new series, with a DJ set from Princess Xixi and cabaret from Justin Talplacido Shoulder.
Come along for a drink and a dance, and a riotous introduction to four days of performances from some of the most exciting interdisciplinary artists from the UK and beyond.
Artist, writer, cultural critic and DJ Princess Xixi is the London queer scene’s best-kept secret. Her boundary-breaking sound – which she has labeled ‘dollstep’ – mixes elements of UK bass, drill, footwork, emo, grime, alt pop, alt rock and more.
Justin Talplacido Shoulder is a shape-shifting artist and storyteller, working primarily in performance, sculpture, video and collective events. Also known as Phasmahammer, their practice is an eco-cosmology of alter personas based on queered ancestral myth, and incorporates handcrafted costumes and prosthesis.
KUNSTY from the German ‘kunst’, meaning art, brings together independent artists working at the boundaries of dance, performance, live art and cabaret, and late night shows.
