Amid the afterglow of Laura Jurd’s stunning new album Rites & Revelations, the UK trumpeter and creative tour de force invites the Grammy-nominated Royal Academy of Music Jazz Orchestra to illuminate and magnify her folk-meets-jazz world.
Expect ritualistic drones, intricate fiddle tunes and cathartic improvisations in what is sure to be an innovative interpretation of modern big-band music.
