Les Choristes in Concert

In a sensational show, the heartwarming film is brought to life on the big screen as its magical score by Bruno Coulais is performed live by an orchestra.
The Oscar-nominated and César-winning 2004 film is presented in a live concert with orchestra for the very first time in the UK.
The magical score by Bruno Coulais is performed in synchronisation with the film by the combined forces of the Philharmonia Orchestra and the Trinity Boys Choir under conductor Anthony Gabriele.
Director Christophe Barratier’s Les Choristes was a sensation when it was released 20 years ago.
Set in 1948, it follows the journey of Clément Mathieu, an unemployed music teacher who accepts a position as supervisor in a rehabilitation boarding school for children.
The repressive system installed by the Director, Rachin, upsets Mathieu and, by introducing these troubled children to music and the beauty of singing, he succeeds in transforming their lives.
Coulais’ score is one of the greats of French cinema with songs such as ‘Vois sur ton chemin’ and ‘Caresse sur l’océan’.
The film won a César for best soundtrack, and was nominated at the Oscars for both best original song and best foreign language film and the BAFTAs for best film music.
A heart-warming and charming story, this is a concert to transport and entertain.
