The Forward Prizes for Poetry Ceremony - Live Stream
Join broadcaster and jury chair James Naughtie, and poet Rachel Long, as they host the presentation of the UK and Ireland’s most coveted poetry prizes.
The Forward Prizes are an unmissable fixture on the literary calendar and a celebration for those who love contemporary poetry.
Along with Naughtie, this year’s judges – poets Pascale Petit, Leontia Flynn and Shivanee Ramlochan, plus critic Tristram Fane Saunders – read 231 poetry collections and 202 nominated single poems to find the most exciting poetry published in the British Isles.
All of the shortlisted poets are invited to read on the night. They are: Kayo Chingonyi, Tishani Doshi, Selima Hill, Luke Kennard and Stephen Sexton, for Best Collection; Caleb Femi, alice hiller, Cynthia Miller, Holly Pester and Ralf Webb, for Best First Collection; and Fiona Benson, Natalie Linh Bolderstone, John McCullough, Denise Riley and Nicole Sealey, for Best Single Poem.
