OAE TOTS: A Musical Adventure with Don Quixote

Sun 17 Jan 2027

Go on a wacky adventure with a would-be knight at this whirlwind interactive family concert with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.

Come and meet oboes, bassoons, recorders, double bass (and spoons!) as we follow along with Don Quixote and Sancho Panza in a Baroque adventure.

We journey to Spain where Don Quixote dreams of being a brave Knight with his trusty steed Rosinante, and his faithful companion Sancho Panza with his mule.

On their way they attack windmills and search for Princess Dulcinea. Will they win their battle or find love?

Upbeat OAE TOTS concerts invite children between the ages of two and five and their grown-ups to sit up close to orchestral musicians.

Share the stage with a cast of occasionally weird – and always wonderful – instruments, and find out if you can spot the difference between a giant and a windmill.
