ORII Presents feat. BXKS

Fri 2 Oct 2026, 7.30pm

Celebrate sample culture and the UK underground’s cross-genre fusions with electrifying music from MC and rap artist BXKS and a classic ORII jam session.

Inspired by the Yoruba concept of Orii, which the group describes as the spark of collective consciousness or a shared soul, ORII brings musicians together to create and enjoy music in a collaborative setting.

Catch music-making alchemy as ORII survey the relationship between UK rap, grime and jazz, referencing sample culture, the intoxicating results of cross-genre fusions and the UK underground.

On the bill is BXKS, known for her ‘electrifying cyphers and live performances’ (Clash), performing with the ORII house band.

Luton-born BXKS has built her name through razor-sharp rap, restless experimentation and an instinctive understanding of rhythm. Widening her sonic world in recent moves, BXKS has been moving seamlessly between UK rap and diasporic sounds shaped by dancehall, gqom and electronic music. The shift feels less like a departure and more like a natural expansion of an artist increasingly comfortable connecting the different cultures that have shaped her experiences in the dance.

And for the full ORII experience, we wrap up with a jam session.
