Out-Spoken Masterclass: February

Dive into a three-hour weekend poetry workshop where a leading poet helps you develop your craft and unlock new creative ideas.

Part of Out-Spoken

Out-Spoken‘s Poetry Masterclass is a monthly workshop facilitated by leading UK/US poets. This month’s masterclass is led by Kareem Parkins-Brown.

The class is open to members of the public of all ages and abilities – from beginners to the more advanced. Anyone with an interest in poetry is welcome to take the chance to work with the country’s most revered writers while learning some of their methods and approaches to crafting beautiful and original poetry.

Kareem Parkins-Brown is a writer and visual artist from Grahame Park Estate, London. His work concerns surrealism for people from Ends, humour and grief. He is a proud Barbican Poet Alumnus, won the Roundhouse Slam and was almost Young Poet Laureate for London. In 2024 he toured a solo show with Talawa and his pamphlet Oi You Lot is out now with Little Betty.
