Primary Schools Takeover: Haegue Yang
Primary schools are invited to explore art and get creative with peer-led activities based around the Hayward Gallery exhibition Haegue Yang: Leap Year.
This day of free activities is organised and delivered by our lead primary school, the Takeover Team.
For our Hayward Gallery Takeovers, the Schools team at the Southbank Centre works closely with one primary school group, the Takeover Team, and artist educators to develop a deeper understanding of our current exhibition.
This prepares the Takeover Team to lead and deliver a day of workshops and discussions for other young people in the gallery.
The Takeover Team welcomes other primary schools to come and learn about the different artists’ techniques and works, explore careers in the arts and participate in art-making workshops in response to the exhibition.

This event is held at the Queen Elizabeth Hall Southbank Centre
The Queen Elizabeth Hall is open from 90 minutes before events start until they finish. It’s closed at all other times.

We’re working hard to remove barriers, so that our facilities and events can be accessible to as many people as possible.
