Come along on a sonic journey through Indian folk roots and film epics, reimagined in a modern classical sound, with celebrated pianist Rekesh Chauhan.
Classically Reimagined delivers an unmissable music experience blending Indian classical, jazz and contemporary musical genres in a modern classical retelling of India’s folk and cinematic musical legacies.
A world-renowned pianist, Chauhan has collaborated with Grammy Award-winners, performed for royalty and is the composer of the original work, The Commonwealth Symphony.
In Classically Reimagined, Chauhan features an ensemble of renowned artists, including vocalists Ashnaa Sasikaran, Nicki Wells, Nishla Smith and Suboor Khan.
Experience an unprecedented fusion of world music with the soulful essence of songs including ‘Kesariya Balam’ (Rajasthani folk), ‘Heer’ (Punjab) and the mesmerising melodies of Qawwali hits ‘Tere Bin Nai Lagda’ and ‘Sanson Ki Mala’.
Add to this jazz and contemporary original music from the artists and a truly unique world musical celebration awaits!
