Saturday Sessions: Drawing Futures with MATT+FIONA
Reimagine the world through imaginative design exercises and collective 3D drawing designed to spark your childrens’ imaginations.
Dive into the creative world of the built environment through games and activities and get assembling as you’re guided through making 3D drawings to capture your wildest dreams for the landscapes of the future.
Leading the activities is architectural educators MATT+FIONA. Learn about the world of design and architecture and encourage your child to explore new forms of creative making in this unique workshop.
Join us as creativity, design and architecture come together to encourage children to think about the world around them in new ways.
MATT+FIONA is a small but dynamic organisation and an award-winning social enterprise that asks young people how their built environment might be improved, and empowers them to bring that vision to life through their work.
Saturday Sessions are the perfect place to start the weekend. On a monthly basis you can enjoy a piece of art, make something new along with the artists and create with other children and their families – all for free!
At 2.45pm, following the Saturday Session, we end the afternoon with Ballroom Boogie x Toasty Tots XL from DJ collective BORN N BREAD. Please join us for a dance!

We also offer Relaxed Sessions, an adapted version for families who may benefit from a more chilled out space.

This event is held at the The Clore Ballroom Southbank Centre
The Clore Ballroom is open six days a week.
Tuesday, 10am – 6pm*
Wednesday – Sunday, 10am – 11pm
Monday, closed.
*If we’re hosting a performance, the building will stay open until the event ends.

Access
We’re working hard to remove barriers, so that our facilities and events can be accessible to as many people as possible.
All help points, toilets, performance and exhibition spaces at the Southbank Centre are accessible to all, as are the cafes, bars and restaurants. We also have excellent public transport links with step-free access.
There is step-free access to The Clore Ballroom, Level 2, Royal Festival Hall, via a ramp.

Food & drink
Next to The Clore Ballroom is our Ballroom Cafe where you can grab a coffee and a piece of freshly made cake. Also on Level 2 of our Royal Festival Hall you can grab a slice of life by the Thames with drinks and freshly made pizza at our Festival Bar & Kitchen which opens out onto our Riverside Terrace.
From coffee to cocktails, filling favourites to fine dining, plus some of London’s best street food – it’s all here at the Southbank Centre.
