Secondary Schools Takeover: Haegue Yang
Secondary schools are invited to visit the Hayward Gallery exhibition Haegue Yang: Leap Year and take part in peer-led activities to explore the artwork.
This day of free activities is organised and delivered by our lead secondary school, the Takeover Team.
For Hayward Gallery Takeovers, the Schools team at the Southbank Centre works closely with one secondary school group, the Takeover Team, and artist-educators to develop a deeper understanding of our current exhibition.
This prepares the Takeover Team to lead and deliver a day of workshops and discussions for other young people in the gallery.
The Takeover Team welcomes other secondary schools to come and learn about the artist’s techniques and works, explore careers in the arts and participate in art-making workshops in response to the exhibition.

This event is held at the Queen Elizabeth Hall Southbank Centre
The Queen Elizabeth Hall is open from 90 minutes before events start until they finish. It’s closed at all other times.

We’re working hard to remove barriers, so that our facilities and events can be accessible to as many people as possible.
