Special Edition: Love in Old Age
Discover the joy of ageing through poetry from four accomplished writers: Jane Draycott, Annie Freud, Jenny Lewis and Claire Crowther.
Love in Old Age: Four Poets on the Joy of Ageing is a showcase for four older poets: Jane Draycott, Annie Freud, Jenny Lewis and Claire Crowther.
Age is widely feared in our society for its challenges – physical and personal, social and political – yet it is gifted with wisdom, strength and love. These four poets have won many awards, both in the earlier and the later stages of their careers.
On the International Day of the Older Person, 1 October 2025, each poet shares poems exposing the tests of age and celebrating its delights.
