Stephen Fretwell
The singer and songwriter is a master of heartfelt lyrics and splendid storytelling.
Last few tickets
Stephen Fretwell’s honest songwriting and folk, rock and indie-infused style are introspective, often deeply touching and a favourite among other artists.
His songs have been recorded by big names including Self Esteem, Arctic Monkeys and Michael Ball. As a performer, Fretwell has shared the stage with The Pogues, Elbow and Feist, as well as touring in support of his own album releases.
His song ‘Run’ is a familiar signal of comfort and warmth for millions of households as the iconic theme song of the BBC comedy Gavin and Stacey.
Support comes from Gracie Friel, whose timeless brand of alt-folk is driven by her unfiltered lyrics, haunting melodies and the messy realities of being young. With a sharp sense of humour, she finds inspiration in everything around her, turning it into something deeply human and undeniably beautiful. For Friel, bad situations make great stories, and even better songs.
