Tavares Strachan: Exhibition Panel Discussion

Join curator Ekow Eshun, alongside other expert writers and curators, to explore key issues and themes of cultural visibility and art-as-protest in Strachan’s work.

Tavares Strachan’s work pushes the boundaries of contemporary art with the imagination of a true pioneer. In the Hayward Gallery’s new exhibition, his work highlights key questions of cultural visibility, focusing on the telling of lost stories.

Ekow Eshun, a contributor to the exhibition catalogue, alongside our other panellists, delves into these themes and Strachan’s innovative techniques.

Eshun is a curator, writer and broadcaster, chair of London’s Fourth Plinth and the former director of the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London. He has authored several books and is a judge for the Turner Prize 2024 and was a member of the jury for the British Pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2024.
