Tawiah

Tawiah (pronounced Taa-We-Ah) is a film-score composer, live performer and alt-soul singer-songwriter who has earned a reputation as a deeply expressive artist, with an ability to connect with audiences.

She gained initial recognition with her award-winning 2007 EP In Jodi’s Bedroom and has since released two more albums, toured with Moses Sumney and Michael Kiwanuka and collaborated with musicians including Devonté Hynes and Mark Ronson. For TV, she has composed for shows including Without Sin, Black Ops and Anansi Boys.

Since 2024, Tawiah has served as choir director of Sauti, an auditioned choir that was first brought together for Chaka Khan’s Meltdown.
