Ginsberg's Place & Politics: a poetry masterclass
Sun 11 Oct 2026 | 9.30am
A celebration of Ginsberg’s work in what would have been his 100th year.
This masterclass will explore how he wrote out of the various locations associated with his poems, politics and poetics. There will be a close look at notable works like ‘Kaddish’, and lesser known pieces such as ‘A Strange New Cottage in Berkley’ and ‘Tears’.
Participants will work on two poems over four writing exercises, influenced by Ginsberg’s writing and revision techniques and his sense of place.
