I Seek A Wild Star: Poems of Longing and Belonging

Join the Manchester Jewish Museum for an intimate evening of poetry, as poet-in-residence Ophira Adar presents a specially commissioned piece inspired by the untold stories of Jewish Manchester.

Drawing on the museum’s archive, Ophira’s poetry explores themes of spirituality, migration, identity, longing and belonging. As part of her residency she will also offer personal reflections on her creative process.

This event takes its title from the poetry of Jewish Manchester writer Louis Golding, whose impact on the city’s cultural history is often overlooked.

The event will include a Q&A with Ophira.
