The Poetry Translation Centre is hosting a workshop on translating Somali poetics at the Dorothy Fox Education Centre in Sheffield.
The aim of the session will be to collaborate with other participants to produce a group translation of a poem from Somali into English. No experience Somali, translation, or poetry is necessary. The group translation will be published on the Poetry Translation Centre website.
The workshop will be led by translator Ibrahim Hirsi and poet-translator Mymona Bibi.
