Poems Imagining Art: Exploring Notional Ekphrasis with Paul Hetherington

Australian poetry teacher and ekphrastic poet Paul Hetherington is running an online poetry writing workshop on the importance of “notional ekphrasis”, poetry  describing artwork that “doesn’t exist” except in “poetry’s own fiction.”

Participants of all levels and experiences are welcome to attend and experiment with writing their own poems of notional ekphrasis. A list of journals and other avenues for the publication of ekphrastic poetry will also be provided.
