About the poets:
Rachel Pantechnicon has been described as ‘the great lost act of the noughties’. She won Glastonbury Festival Poetry Slam in 2004, despite being the only person on site wearing court shoes. She has read her poems on Radio 1, Radio 3 and Radio 4, and is still waiting for Radio 2 to call.
Clare Mulley is an Oxford-based poet, academic and creative writing tutor, who has worked with charities and schools nationwide, and researches the influence of Norse mythology on women’s writing. She has devised a performance project from the eddic poem Völuspá — an apocalyptic narrative in the voice of a mythical seeress, summoned by Odin.
